To the Umndeni Team, Thank you for all that you have done for us on our honeymoon. We have had an unbelievably great time and have a million happy memories of our time here in SA with you all. You have all played a very big part in giving us the best time away we could ever have imagined! Thank you so so much again.
Dear Umndeni Team, A mere letter is inadequate to convey our thanks for the most amazing experience which you gave us at Umndeni. From the welcome for us (and 11 close friends) at the airport all the way through to the golf club drop off you really looked after us. Your lodge was just out of this world, much larger, more comfortable and well equipped than I had expected. Dawyn, Chantell, Zag, Phina and Stella were all delightful and clearly wowed us all to have a great time – which we did. I don’t know where to start and stop with this as there were so many highlights packed into each day. Obviously all the wildlife and game were as amazing as we had hoped. There has to be special mention of the giraffe and the facility to ride among the animals as well as seeing if from our bedroom takes it out of this world. The lunch parties, complete with tablecloths, were so special as well. G and T with the giraffe had to be a favorite as was a dark and stormy up the strong, high tower. Many, many thanks! The Umndeni Team, We have now been home one week from our trip to Africa. I write on behalf of myself, Bo, Ollie, Bea and the lesser extent, Tom and Mealie, to thank you all for allowing us this, “once in a lifetime” opportunity to experience life in the bush! It was a truly wonderful 6 weeks where we were looked after by everyone superbly. Both Dawyn & Chantell were quite superb, doing anything and everything to help us have a fault free time. Phina’s cooking was delicious and the girls kept the house clean and tidy at all times. Zag was his usual, friendly, helpful self, loving the hunting and the riding and seeing to take a mature roll in the running of the farm! There is a light hearted but professional relationship between the boys on the farm and the management which seems to nurture a good working environment. The Waterberg is a very unique area that is incredibly easy to fall in love with. We will not forget the experience we have had over the last 6 weeks, it all seemed to go too fast! As Bo said the other morning, “I feel like I have been on the most amazing Roller-coaster ride, only to have been Spat out and landed back into reality”. I think this sums it up for all of us and we will still sorely miss it all!!! Thank you so very much for making it possible. With all best wishes Nick & Bo
The Umndeni Team, Once again I bid myself writing a letter of enormous gratitude to you, for allowing us to enjoy the wonders of Umndeni yet again!! The Waterberg seem to become more and more enchanting with each and every visit, and it has become a place that I love, and hope that I can continue to visit for many years to come. With that deep affection for a place comes the desire to share the experience with other – kindred spirits – who you just know, will also fall in love with the place…..and so it was taking David Harris with me on this trip. We all know the old cliché about getting the dirt of Africa in your shoes, and not being able to get rid of it….and this I know was true for David. He simply couldn’t believe that somewhere / something like this really existed!!! And to live that experience (once again) through his eyes was great fun and all I hoped it would be for both of us. Once again you have had a very influential hand in creating memories that will last a lifetime and for that (as ever) I am truly grateful. Once again a million thanks. Kindest Regards, Giles
